Each year, Venture NY and the New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) Finals bring together a cross-section of New York’s venture and entrepreneurial ecosystem. This year’s event, hosted at the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship in Rochester on April 21–22, continues that tradition with expanded opportunities to connect, learn and discover what’s next.
Venture NY
At its core, Venture NY offers a unique opportunity to gain insights, build relationships and discover high-quality deal flow rooted in the region. Over two days, attendees will engage with LPs, GPs and emerging managers through curated networking and targeted programming designed to spark meaningful conversations.
Whether you’re raising a fund, deploying capital or building a company, the event creates space for real dialogue around venture strategies, direct investing and the evolving landscape across New York State.
NYBPC Finals
The NYBPC Finals add another layer of energy and opportunity. Bringing together top student-led startups from more than 60 colleges and universities, the competition showcases the next generation of founders across six industry tracks. These are early signals of where innovation is heading in New York, and for investors, a chance to see high-potential ideas before they fully enter the market.
Beyond the stage, the Startup Resource Expo and integrated programming offer a broader view of the ecosystem, highlighting the organizations, institutions and partnerships that support company growth across the state. It’s a reminder that building successful businesses doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through connection.
