Gain Industry Insights and Connections at Invest NY: Future of Food
NYSTAR and Upstate Capital present Invest NY: Future of Food, an event to highlight the food and agtech industry and innovation in Upstate New York. Registration is open for this event on June 29th at the Culinary Institute of America.

Binghamton based Natrion announced it has secured $2 million in seed funding from high-profile investors, including Mark Cuban of Shark Tank. Natrion has developed a patented and proprietary technology called the Lithium Solid Ionic Composite (LISIC)

Innovate 518 starts a new program to provide non-dilutive, pre-seed funding up to $50,000. The Shovel Ready program is being led by Heidi Knoblauch, who started last year as one of the entrepreneurs-in-residence for Innovate 518.

The New York State Economic Development Council has named Sarah Lee, CEO of Think Dutchess and Executive Director of the Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency, the Economic Developer of the Year. The organization said Lee’s ability to identify, unite and build her team and community led to five closed projects with $345 million in investment, over 217 new jobs and over 1,723 retained jobs.
