Lucent EMS Solutions, the 2026 New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) Grand Prize winner, is taking another step toward bringing its technology to market. The company has been selected as one of nine finalists in FuzeHub’s 2026 Commercialization Competition, competing for $430,000 at the New York State Innovation Summit on October 27–28 at the Buffalo Convention Center.
Listed in FuzeHub’s announcement as Lucent EMS Solutions, the company is developing a hands-free, AI-powered platform to help emergency medical responders document patient care. The technology is designed to capture patient details and treatment steps during emergency calls and draft reports for responders to review, with the goal of reducing paperwork and helping ambulance crews return to service sooner.
“Winning the NYBPC grand prize this past spring validated our mission to modernize EMS documentation, and being selected as a FuzeHub Commercialization Competition finalist is an exciting next step toward getting our platform into real ambulances across New York State. We are eager to head to Buffalo to showcase our hands-free, ambient clinical AI prototype, learn from the judges and fellow innovators at the NYS Innovation Summit, and continue building a stronger healthcare infrastructure right here in New York.”
Administered by FuzeHub and supported by Empire State Development through the Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund, the competition helps entrepreneurs advance their prototypes and commercialization plans. Four finalists will receive awards, including a $150,000 top prize.
For the NYBPC community, Lucent Clinical’s selection is an exciting opportunity to celebrate a Grand Prize winner’s continued progress. We congratulate the team on this milestone and look forward to cheering them on in Buffalo!
