Upstate Capital is pleased to welcome Molly Daetsch Hugar, Commercial Leader at KeyBank, to our Board of Directors.
Molly brings nearly two decades of experience in commercial banking, along with a deep understanding of the businesses, industries, and relationships that drive economic growth across Upstate New York. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with companies and leadership teams as they navigate growth, access capital, and respond to an evolving financial landscape.
In her current role at KeyBank, Molly oversees and supports corporate client relationships across Upstate New York, connecting businesses with the financial resources, expertise, and relationships they need to grow. She has also played an important role in strengthening KeyBank’s commercial operations and building collaborative, high-performing teams.
Before joining KeyBank, Molly held progressive leadership positions at M&T Bank, where her work included commercial banking and strategic growth initiatives. She began her career at Highland Capital Management, building a foundation of financial and investment experience that has informed her leadership throughout her career.
Molly’s leadership has earned recognition both within the financial services industry and across the Upstate New York business community. She was selected for American Banker’s 2024 Most Influential Women in Payments: Next and has been recognized by Buffalo Business First as one of Western New York’s Power 200 Women. She earned her MBA from the University at Buffalo.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Molly brings to the Upstate Capital Board a perspective rooted in relationships, collaboration, and a commitment to helping businesses and communities across the region succeed. Her experience working alongside companies throughout Upstate New York will be a valuable addition as Upstate Capital continues to strengthen connections among investors, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders across the capital ecosystem.
