The New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) is back for its 2025 competition season, and it’s set to be a significant event for entrepreneurs, investors and business professionals alike. Culminating with the NYBPC Finals on April 24, 2025, in Troy, NY, this competition offers students from across New York the chance to showcase their innovative startups, compete for cash prizes and connect with the entrepreneurial community.
The NYBPC brings together the top student-led ventures from across the state, where teams compete for cash prizes. The event attracts talent from over 60 colleges and universities, showcasing groundbreaking ideas in technology, services, and innovative business models. Up to 30 teams receive prizes, and the top team will earn a grand prize of $25,000, helping propel their venture to new heights.
What to Expect at the 2025 NYBPC Finals:
- Exposure and Networking: Gain access to a curated group of potential investors, business partners and customers, as well as valuable networking opportunities with other startup entrepreneurs.

In addition to the competition, the event features an Entrepreneurs’ Expo where students and entrepreneurs can meet with organizations providing essential resources such as funding, mentorship and business services.
