VC + GROWTH
Buffalo-based startup, Open Beats, is in the process of pivoting into a more specific niche for the music industry. Open Beats was the 1st place track winner for Media, Art & Entertainment at the 2022 New York Business Plan Competition.
Cambridge-based Compt recently secured $13M in Series A funding led by Battery Ventures and co-invested by Impellent Ventures. Compt has raised a total of $16.5M with contributions from notable investors, Harlem Capital Partners, and the venture arm of collaboration software company Slack.
Amerisource Business Capital closed a $1.5M credit facility for a New York-based cookie and dessert production firm. Andy Allaire, Senior Vice President for Amerisource, stated: “An independent sponsor acquired this family run business and Amerisource provided an ABL solution to finance the working capital. We were pleased to be able to provide a financing package to facilitate the growth of the business.”
KLAW Industries Co-Founder Jacob Kumpon awarded Entrepreneur Of The Year by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce. KLAW was the 2022 NYBPC track winner for Safety, Power, and Mobility.
