RECAP: Multisorb – Buffalo-based PE Success Story
About 50 people braved the snow to join us at the Expo Market in Buffalo last week to hear the story of Multisorb. The gathering included investors, executives, business leaders and professional advisors from across Upstate New York.
The program was based on the story of a Buffalo-based corporate turnaround with Multisorb facilitated by Summer Street Capital Partners and Eric Armenat. Mike McQueeney, one of Summer Street’s founding partners, moderated a panel with Armenat, Multisorb CEO, and John Zak, partner at law firm Hodgson Russ.
The panel discussed the acquisition, ownership, and subsequent sale of Multisorb. Eric spoke about how Multisorb was his third experience as a Summer Street Capital CEO, and how he worked to turn Multisorb’s potential into substantial growth.
Eric described the importance of selecting the right team and identifying priorities early on. Two of the most important decisions for Eric were plant consolidation and the choice to build a new plant in India.
