Global Capital Markets Strategist Marc Chandler Shares Insights in Buffalo on May 23

It’s likely that attendees at the upcoming Buffalo Private Equity Summit will be familiar with one of the event’s prominent speakers – Marc Chandler. With more than 30 years of experience in the global capital markets, Chandler is a well-known figure and has been regularly featured on major television networks as well as newspapers and publications including the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Bloomberg, and the Washington Post.

Chandler will provide an overview of the Global Markets impacting Private Equity at the event, which will be attended by approximately 150 finance professionals and business executives from across New York and elsewhere. In his recent Marc to Market blog post, Chandler stated that the Federal Reserve is likely to hike rates after its meeting this month. Chandler’s insights on rates, inflation, the prospect of recession, and their impacts on equity markets will be of great interest to attendees, particularly with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics set to release April’s CPI figures on May 10.

Chandler has held positions as the global head of currency strategy for both HSBC and Brown Brothers Harriman. He joined Bannockburn Global Forex in 2018 as a Managing Director and Chief Market Strategist. The firm is headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, and has offices in Buffalo and New York City.

Chandler is a prolific writer and speaker, having authored two books and taught at various universities, including New York University’s Center for Global Affairs and Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business. He is also an honorary fellow of the Foreign Policy Association and has been named a Business Visionary by Forbes. Chandler currently resides in New York City with his wife and son.
