Keynote Conversation: Ryan Legg, GE Renewable Energy
Next, our keynote speaker, Ryan Legg of GE Renewable Energy had a conversation with Noa Simons, Upstate Capital’s Executive Director about the problems GE Renewable Energy is looking to solve through innovation. Ryan works in the Chief Technology Office at GE Renewable Energy as the leader of technology partnerships and is the gateway into their global innovation center. The two also dove into how to work with GE as entrepreneurs and CEOs.
Cleaner Energy and Measuring Impact
The first panel, Cleaner Energy and Measuring Impact featuring Sarah Armitage, 2020 impact fellow of Prime Coalition, Michele Demers, founder and CEO of Boundless Impact, Jason Salfi, CEO of Dimensional Energy and Momo Bi, the Director of New York Ventures. This panel discussed various approaches to measuring impact in the climate tech sector.
Transportation Industry and Innovation
The last panel, Transportation Industry and Innovation, featured Colby Creedon, a Commercialization Fellow at Empire State Development, Romy Fain, CEO and founder of Heat Inverse, AJ Edwards, CEO of EkoStinger and Tom Lamb, Chief of Innovation and Technology for the New York City Transit Office of Strategic Innovation and Technology. They discussed building companies and selling innovations to larger organizations.
