The Business of Beer
November 1, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Upstate Capital is hosting The Business of Beer, an event to highlight what it takes to grow a multi-million dollar craft beer business in New York. This event will bring together members of the investment and business community from across the region to hear the Shmaltz Brewing Company story with its founder and CEO, Jeremy Cowan. He’ll have a conversation with a panel of advisors and capital providers on what’s needed to grow and scale his craft beer brewing company.
Shmaltz Brewing was founded in 1996 in Clifton Park, NY. The business is a mix of branded products and contract brewing. Shmaltz beers are distributed in over thirty-seven U.S. states, by 40 distributors and in 5,000 retailers across the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom. The founder, Jeremy, is looking to retire debt and fund growth of the branded product line to improve margins.
At this event, capital providers and advisors will outline various options for financing the business.
